High-Amp 350A Alternator for 2014-2018 Ford Fiesta ST (B299)
What it Does: The 350-amp high-output alternator replaces the factory charging unit on the 2014-2018 Ford Fiesta ST to maintain a stable 13.5 to 14.5 volts and eliminate electrical strain under heavy auxiliary loads.
The Stock Ford Fiesta ST Charging Limitations
The factory charging system on the B299 chassis is engineered strictly for baseline electrical demands. When builders add multi-channel audio amplifiers, auxiliary cooling fans, or high-draw lighting, the OE unit experiences severe voltage drop, particularly at idle. Sustained high-amperage draw causes thermal saturation across stock copper windings, resulting in premature diode pack failure, slipping output voltages, flickering cabin electronics, and chronic battery degradation.
The Engineering Solution
This high-output unit integrates heavy-gauge hairpin-style pure copper stator windings with a precision-balanced rotor to maximize current density while shedding operational heat. Equipped with premium sealed dual-ball bearings and an internal solid-state voltage regulator, it stabilizes DC bus ripple and prevents thermal breakdown under track or heavy accessory conditions. It utilizes OE-spec casting dimensions to mount directly to the 1.6L EcoBoost block, retaining factory serpentine belt geometry and harness pinouts without bracket modifications.

Frequently Asked Questions & Fitment Warnings
Does this fit the B299 Fiesta?
Yes, this is a direct fit for the 2014-2018 Ford Fiesta equipped with the 1.6L EcoBoost engine. Does not fit base Fiesta S, SE, or Titanium trim packages, naturally aspirated 1.6L models, or 1.0L EcoBoost 3-cylinder engines.
Do I need to upgrade my wiring for full 350-amp output?
Executing a "Big 3" wiring upgrade (0-gauge charging cable, battery-to-chassis ground, and engine-to-chassis ground) is strongly advised to prevent line-resistance voltage drops and leverage the complete amperage capacity.
The Ford Hot-Hatch Standard
Engineered for tuned sport compact platforms, this alternator maintains stable system voltage to keep fuel pumps, ignition coils, and auxiliary electronics running at peak efficiency under sustained boost.
