10mm socket with a 6-inch extension (for airbox bolts and battery)
10mm wrench (for battery terminal)
8mm nut driver or socket (for hose clamps)
#2 Phillips screwdriver (for MAF sensor screws)
Needle-nose pliers (for PCV breather hose clamps)
Panel popper tool (for removing factory wire harness clips without snapping them)

Mechanic’s Pro Tip (The "Gotcha"):
The 9th Gen K24W1 EarthDreams engines are notorious for having extremely brittle plastic breather hose barbs on the factory valve cover and intake. When removing the factory rubber hoses, do not just yank them. Break the seal by twisting gently first. Additionally, the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is highly sensitive on this platform. Touching the delicate wire element inside will cause immediate idle surge, bogging, and a Check Engine Light. Handle it by the plastic housing only.

Phase 1: Removing the Factory Part

Disconnect the Battery: Always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal on your 2013-2017 Honda Accord 2.4L using a 10mm wrench to prevent check engine lights and electrical shorts.
Disconnect the MAF Sensor: Depress the locking tab on the MAF harness plug and slide it off. Use your panel popper to unclip the wire harness from the factory airbox housing so it is free to move out of your way.
Remove the Breather Hose: Using needle-nose pliers, squeeze the spring clamp on the factory PCV breather hose connecting the engine to the intake tube. Gently twist the rubber hose to break the seal before pulling it off.
Loosen Clamps and Remove Tube: Take an 8mm nut driver to loosen the band clamp securing the factory corrugated rubber intake hose to the throttle body. Pull the rubber hose free from the throttle body.
Extract the Airbox Assembly: Grab your 10mm socket and 6-inch extension to remove the two lower bolts holding the bottom airbox housing to the chassis. Once unbolted, pull the entire factory assembly straight up and out of the engine bay.

Phase 2: Installing the Cold Air Intake

Transfer the MAF Sensor: Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, carefully remove the two screws holding the factory MAF sensor to the OEM airbox. Transfer it immediately to your new intake tube. Do not let dirt or your fingers touch the wire element. Secure it using the supplied aftermarket hardware.
Mount the Heat Shield and Coupler: Slide the new silicone coupler over the throttle body and lightly snug the clamp with your 8mm socket. Bolt down the aftermarket heat shield using the factory lower airbox mounting points and your 10mm socket.
Seat the Intake Tube: Guide the new intake pipe through the heat shield and push it firmly into the throttle body silicone coupler. Tighten the 8mm hose clamp until snug. Do not over-torque and crush the aluminum pipe.
Connect Breather and Filter: Attach the supplied PCV breather hose to the engine valve cover and the new intake tube fitting. Slide the high-flow air filter onto the end of the intake pipe inside the heat shield and lock it down with your 8mm nut driver.
Plug In and ECU Relearn: Reconnect the MAF sensor harness until it clicks securely. Reconnect the negative battery terminal with your 10mm wrench. On the first startup of your 2013-2017 Honda Accord 2.4L, the vehicle gas pedal should not be touched for 20 seconds. Let the car idle completely undisturbed so the factory ECU can calibrate to the newly increased airflow volume.
