Furthermore, the standard airbox is prone to heat soak during spirited driving or track sessions; the plastic housing absorbs engine bay heat, raising Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) and forcing the ECU to pull ignition timing to prevent detonation. This results in a noticeable loss of power and throttle response as the engine struggles to find dense, oxygenated air.

The Engineering Solution

This upgraded system utilizes a premium titanium intake tube, selected for its high strength-to-weight ratio and superior thermal properties compared to standard aluminum. The 3.5-inch oversized piping provides a larger internal volume, significantly reducing vacuum restriction. To combat heat soak, the kit includes a new transparent heat shield that creates a physical barrier against radiant engine heat while allowing for visual inspection of the filter's condition. The high-flow, 3.5-inch conical air filter is washable and reusable, designed for a lifetime of service.
