Mechanic’s Pro Tip (The "Gotcha"):
The OEM rubber "accordion" intake tube on the 2007-2013 Acura MDX J35/J37 engines is notorious on MDX forums for dry-rotting and tearing in the folds. This causes hidden vacuum leaks and lean codes (P0171/P0174). When removing it, pieces may flake off. More importantly, your Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is highly sensitive. Phase 1: Removing the Factory Part from your 2007-2013 Acura MDX
