Ignition Coils and Spark Plugs for Honda CR-V

A coil that breaks down on a CR-V shows up as a stumble under load or a flashing check engine light on the highway. These coil and spark plug kits cover select Honda CR-V applications from 1997-2021. The 2010-2014 2.4L listing is coils and plugs. The other years pair coils with iridium plugs. See ignition parts for Honda, a performance tune for Honda, or air intakes compatible with Honda.

Select CR-V Fitment by Year and Engine

  • 2.0L: 1997-2001
  • 2.4L: 2002-2009, 2010-2014, and 2015-2019
  • 1.5L: 2017-2021

A 2.4L kit is not correct for the 1.5L. Read the displacement on the listing before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will new coils fix P0300 through P0304 on a CR-V?

Yes, if the code is weak spark, a cracked boot, or a plug that has quit. Every engine in this collection is a four-cylinder, so cylinder codes run P0301 through P0304. P0300 is a random misfire. Coils and plugs do not fix a vacuum leak.

Should I change all four CR-V coils?

Change the set. The coils share the same heat. A wide plug gap makes a new coil run hotter, so use the plugs that come with the kit. Do not mix a 2.4L set with a 1.5L engine, or a 1997-2001 2.0L set with a later 2.4L.

How hard is a CR-V coil swap?

The coils are on top of the valve cover. A 10mm socket, a spark plug socket, and dielectric grease on the boots are the usual tools. No intake removal and no connector splicing on these four-cylinder engines.
