High-Output 300A Alternator for 2007-2013 GMC Sierra (GMT900)

What it Does: The 300 Amp High Output Alternator replaces the factory charging unit on the 2007-2013 GMC Sierra to eliminate electrical voltage drop under heavy auxiliary loads and deliver sustained charging current at idle.

The Stock GMC Sierra Charging System Limitation

Factory GMT900 platform alternators—typically 145A or 160A OEM units like 15093928 and 25877026—rapidly reach their thermal threshold when supporting snowplows, winches, power inverters, or aftermarket lighting. Under continuous high-amperage draw, OEM stator windings generate excessive heat that triggers thermal throttling, dropping system potential below 12.8V and causing battery starvation, erratic module behavior, and dimming interior electronics at low engine RPMs.

The Engineering Solution

Engineered for high-demand duty cycles, this Made-in-USA 300-amp unit features heavy-gauge copper windings, premium dual-internal cooling fans, and a high-temperature avalanche diode rectifier bridge to eliminate heat soak. Designed for precise integration with GM's 2-pin Regulated Voltage Control (RVC) architecture, it supplies upwards of 160A at idle and 300A peak output across the Vortec powertrain lineup. Direct bolt-on OE case dimensions match factory bracket geometry for a direct fitment without belt misalignment.
