Ignition Coils and Spark Plug Kits for Volkswagen Passat

A weak coil on the Passat shows up as a stumble off the line or a flashing check engine light. These kits cover select applications from 1994-2019. The only CC listing here is the 2009-2010 Passat CC 3.6L V6. Other CC years are not in this set. Pair the hardware with cold air intakes compatible with Volkswagen or a performance tune for Volkswagen. More models are in ignition parts for Volkswagen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Passat years and engines do these coils fit?

Select applications from 1994-2019: 2.8L (1994-1997 and 1998-2005), 1.8L (2000-2005), 2.0L (2006-2010), 3.6L (2006-2008), 3.6L V6 (2009-2010, the 2009-2010 Passat CC, and 2012-2018), 2.5L (2012-2014), and 1.8L and 2.0L I4 (2014-2019). A 2.0L kit is not the 3.6L part. This set does not include a 2.0L CC listing.

Will a new coil pack clear a Passat misfire?

Often, when the fault is weak spark. P0300 means the misfire is moving between cylinders. The 3.6L V6 listings can show a code through P0306. New coils and plugs address that spark fault only, not a vacuum leak.

Coil only, or coils and plugs together on a Passat?

Every title in this set includes spark plugs with the coils. Some specify iridium plugs. Replace the set that matches the displacement rather than one coil, because the other coils have the same heat cycles. Let the engine cool, use a spark plug socket, and put dielectric grease on the boots before they go back on.
