Ignition Coils Compatible with Hyundai Genesis
A Genesis sedan coil often fails as a miss that shows up once the engine is hot. These kits cover select Hyundai Genesis applications from 2009-2016, plus one Genesis Coupe 2.0L I4 listing. Two 3.8L kits overlap in years but do not use the same plugs: one is iridium, one is platinum. See performance parts for Hyundai or ignition parts for Hyundai.
Select Hyundai Genesis Years and Engines
Read the plug metal on the 3.8L titles. Do not treat them as duplicates.
- 4.6L and 5.0L: Hyundai Genesis 2009-2016, iridium plugs, one listing
- 3.8L platinum plugs: Hyundai Genesis 2010-2016
- 3.8L iridium plugs: Hyundai Genesis 2012-2016
- 2.0L I4: Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2010-2014
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Hyundai Genesis years and engines do these coils fit?
Select applications, not every Genesis year. Sedan displacements on the listings are 3.8L, 4.6L, and 5.0L. The 4.6L and 5.0L share one 2009-2016 iridium kit. The Coupe listing is only 2010-2014 2.0L I4. There is no Coupe 3.8L kit on this page.
What is the difference between the two 3.8L kits?
The 2010-2016 3.8L listing pairs coils with platinum spark plugs. The 2012-2016 3.8L listing pairs coils with iridium spark plugs. Same displacement, different plug metal, and a different start year. Read the title before you order.
Will a new coil clear a Genesis misfire code?
Often, when the fault is weak spark. P0300 means the misfire is moving between cylinders. A single-cylinder code points at one hole. Coils and plugs address that spark fault only, not a fuel or air leak. On the Coupe, use the 2.0L I4 listing, not a 3.8L kit.
