I used the reader to clear codes ahead of an annual state inspection. It has paid for itself already.

Review of the Universal 0BD2 Code Reader Scanner
Received the Code reader scanner before estimated date. Have not used yet, but have no reason to think it will not perform as it should. If I have a problem later, will try to submit another review.

Nissan Pathfinder
car was dying randomly on the freeway and would barely stay running while puffing black smoke out of the exhaust. DID NOT want to pay someone $90/hr just to check it out. this was able to tell me i had a bad MAFS. Its portable and can be handy at any time. well worth a fraction of shops' costs to just diagnose.

Ford Escort
Great little reader. Plugged it in and automatically scanned and determined correct comm protocol used and then displayed relevant codes. Good item for anyone who wants to have a little more control over what's going on with their car.
