How much horsepower will I gain?
Results do vary and can sometimes take up to 2 weeks/100 miles to see results due to computer OBD2 learning. Stage 1 recalibrates the ignition and fuel based on the variables such as the fuel octane, ambient air temp and other sensors in addition to driving style.

How does this product work?
Using your OBD on board computer port - plugs right in - our product modifies signals sent to your vehicles ECU computer. The module optimizes functions such as ignition timing, air fuel mixture, fuel maps and produces more power and better gas mileage. The ECU of modern vehicles controls a series of actuators on an internal combustion engine to ensure the optimum running. It does this by reading values from a multitude of sensors within the engine bay, interpreting the data using multidimensional performance maps (Look-up tables), and adjusting the engine actuators accordingly.

GTE Stage 1 Performance Chip
My expectations were low when I purchased the GTE Stage 1, was only hoping for smoother shifting and to avoid some irritating downshifts when going up hills while driving. I'm more of a cruising driver, getting to work and other daily activities driver. After installing the performance chip into the OBDP and following the instructions I soon (about 3 hours later the 1st day) noticed that the automatic was shifting a bit smoother, my thought was I was expecting something better so I was felling something better (the placebo effect). On the third day after installation I had to drive the interstate. OK, honestly, to merge onto the interstate I near floored the gas peddle and it actually felt like acceleration had reduced from before installing the GTE chip, but other than that the engine was running smoother and better automatic transmission shifting. I continued to drive. Later this same day I again merged onto the interstate for the return drive. This time there was a much better acceleration and this was followed over the next day by what feels like a wider/stronger engine torque. The engine now holds a particular speed better and feels like a slight increase of acceleration from the peddle (improved throttle response). As I've continued to drive with the GTE chip my experience gives this product two thumbs up. I would recommend this product to others who are interested in an improved engine response and driving experience without excessive engine modifications or cost. As a closing note, there have been zero negative issues, no engine codes, no reduced fuel mileage, etc. from using this chip on my 2008 2.4L HHR.
