Description
The stock intake tube is prone to collapsing under boost due to its weak molded rubber construction. This vulnerability was evident upon initial inspection of this model. During dyno testing, increasing the boost beyond 22psi resulted in a complete cut-off of airflow. Additionally, warmer outside air temperatures can exacerbate the issue, causing the rubber to become softer and further compromising performance, even at stock boost levels.
Our solution addresses this issue by replacing the factory design with an aluminum tube paired with short silicone couplers. This sturdy construction ensures that the intake tube will not collapse under boost pressure. Furthermore, bead rolled ends are incorporated to securely hold the couplers in place, minimizing the risk of disconnection.
